Bio: Dr. Shai Butler
Dr. Shai L. Butler is an emerging voice in higher education leadership and has presented and written on topics relating to mentorship, sponsorship, organizational dynamics, leadership, diversity, and inclusion. During the day she is a Vice President at a private comprehensive college in New York and does freelance speaking and writing for universities, women’s organizations, community groups, and professional associations. "Dr. Shai", as she is affectionately known as by her students, was educated at the University at Albany-State University of New York where she earned a bachelor's in English and a master’s degree in Educational Administration and Policy Studies. She later earned a doctorate in Law & Policy at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Shai has over 20 years of experience in student affairs, diversity, and student success. Proud mom of three (Chantelle, Koa, and Nori), and wife of one (Odo) she is a strong proponent of faith, family, and friendship.
